Hey Guys,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but tonight will be my last blog. Have no fear fellow readers I will be sending Tiffany Shaw your way.
It has been quite the day off… my family is still here and I am definitely glad I only have one class and my day is complete by 1:00. Once I got home, we grabbed some lunch (at Jersey Mikes) and then headed for the Atlantic beach. I have never been there and I was glad it turned out to be a beautiful day. Even though the wind was brutal, we were able to spend a couple of hours walking along the shoreline and enjoy the sun.
All right, all I am off to spend the rest of the evening doing homework and spending time with the family before they leave tomorrow. I hope you enjoyed reading about my days and the life of a pirate.
I hope you all have a great week and I look forward to seeing you all Wednesday.
I will talk to you soon,
Angel

Hey guys,
Well today was an excellent day!! My exercise phys. test went better then expected J I got to nap... the weather was absolutely beautiful… practice was solid- might I add we are stoked and ready to take 2 tomorrow from Tulsa!! Continuing with a good dinner at cubbies with some of the girls and catching some of the south central vs. rose softball game where we watched bird's sister (who is also very bird like) ball it up! After the game, Percy and I headed to relay for life where we saw Cris, Riggs, Tiff, Toni, and later joined by Sissy, Jill and Lil-bird. I have never been to a relay for life and it is AMAZING. Seeing everyone walk for such a good cause, tents set up, and booths with food, face painting, games, and dancing, I felt like I could walk for hours!
What I am excited for most is that I get to see my mom and siblings tomorrow! It has been a while since they have been to Greenville and months since I have seen them.
Ok pirate fans I am going to get to bed but please come out to the softball field tomorrow at 1:00 and 3:00 and show your support as we go for the series on day 1!!!
Please continue to keep Ms. Jean in your prayers.
I will talk to you all soon,

Hey Guys,
I am back! We started the week playing UNCW on Wednesday where in 2 games 3 teammates blasted a total of 4 homeruns off the opposing pitcher to complete our sweep off of the sea hawks. As the weekend approached, we thought our momentum may have been stopped by the weather however it turned out to be an excellent weekend for softball. Powerhouse pitching and timely hitting allowed us to sweep UCF. As usual, we look forward to our day off (Monday). I took full advantage, having class at 9, and since Rose was closed this allowed me to take a lovely 2 hr nap. I must say that was the highlight of my day! Tomorrow is Tuesday and starts our refocus to gear up for nationally ranked Chapel Hill. As always, we can use our fans cheering us on to victory on Wednesday 6pm, @ Chapel Hill.
Please continue to keep Ms. Jean in your thoughts and Prayers.
Ill talk to you all soon

Hey Guys,
I am still trying to figure out where the past 4 days have gone!? I feel like it was just yesterday that we were getting back into Greenville still excited about our big weekend. Yes all, our first sweep comes off UAB on the road, and let me tell you we look to do the same this weekend at home v.s. UCF.
Let us walk through the past couple of days… Monday is our day off, and somehow they go the fastest! I go to exercise phys. At 9, and coach Koz I know you love it however this class might be the death of me! After class, I head to Rose until one, whether teaching or assisting it is never a full moment, I am constantly learning from these kids. From Rose it is to the training room so I can grace Jen with my presents and get treatment. After treatment, homework and errands take up the rest of the day and before I know it its 9 o’clock. Where has the day done!?! Tuesday and Thursday are my long days- we start the morning off nice and early with weights at 6:30, coach wheel is such a joy in the morning ;-). From weights, I have class from 8- 1:45 shovel a quick lunch, and then head to treatment and practice. I do leave practice an hour early only to go to night class (trust me I would rather be at practice!). And once again before I know it its 9 o’clock, and I cant wait for bed. Which brings us to now. J I am actually sitting in exercise phys writing to you all and thinking about today’s day at Wilmington. We go to their house for a double header at 4 and 6. Even though their record is not great, we cannot take them lightly. As coach would say, “go for the jugular!”
All right all, class is about to end and I have some running around to do prior to boarding the bus. I hope you have a great day!
Ill talk to you soon

Hey Guys!
Yesterday was quite a day! We were the first team to take 2 on the road on the first day (although Tulsa was soon to follow). Coach told us before we even started that if we take two we head to the cheesecake factory for a nice dinner. With a little extra external motivation we played well. The first game we went into extra innings, Toni pitched well and we won 3-1. The second game we also won 3-1 and Brooke pitched a great game.
So off we went to the cheesecake factory where we waited about 2 hours before we could get a table. My table consisted of Kaui, Brooke, Jill, Teenie, Percy, and myself and our waitress, named Alex. She was very funny and clearly loved her job. Today we finish up our series with UAB at 12pm. From there we bus to Atlanta and fly to Raleigh. The last leg of our trip busing back to Greenville with a sweep in our pocket! Ok off to catch the bus, wish us luck.
Have a great day!!
Talk to you all soon,
Angel

Hey Guys!!
So if you have not heard we beat state last night in an A-MAZING game that went 10 innings. Let me rephrase- we exploded in the 10th inning with 5 runs. Let me tell you all what happened... I wish I could say I played a role in the madness but I was more of a run a little and then watch/jump/yell with excitement. So I was on second due to my shu shu hit the inning before. Cris led off hitting to the shortstop and ill say due to both of us using our blazing speed she took her eye off the ball just enough for Cris to be safe J Cris continues to show her speed and steals second! Toni steps up to the plate and yet another ball in play to the second basemen- safe & safe! A run scores and runners on first and third. Sarah showed some serious swag and sure enough hits a shot to right center allowing Cris to score. 2-0! Kaui next up, they should of known she was going to hit it- def. didn’t D it up... and Toni scores! (keep in mind 0 outs) Rina then continues the explosion with a screaming me-me (I very well may have butchered that spelling) double to left, scoring another 2 runs! Just like that 5-0. Also I must say Toni brought her A game pitched an awesome game- not allowing a base runner until the bottom of the 8th inning!!
I would like to give a shout out and a thank you to the BOYFRIENDS that were in the stands, we loved the noise, excitement, and presence you guys brought!
In the dugout – V and Brooke came up with 2 fabulous cheers that you all we will hearing shortly!
So tomorrow bright and early we leave for UAB, we will take on the blazers this weekend for yet another crucial conference series. We are ready to take it to em on the road.
Goodness I feel like I am on a roll.. I want to share with you that today for the first time I taught in AG Cox middle school and had a great time. This was the first time I have had a chance to work with 8th graders and they are at the in between age where they still want to learn and have fun but also think they are to cool for P.E. I had one girl who said “I’m not doing this today” the second she walked in the door – by the time the warm-up was over she was running around and ready to go. We all had a blast!
OK now that I have updated you on my life, I must finish my paper that’s due by 12, pack, and get to bed.
I hope you have a great rest of the week!
I will talk to you soon

Hey Guys!!
Sorry I have not written in a while! We are back from Southern Miss and it has been a pretty long weekend… between the on and off rain, and the end result it is not exactly how we wanted to leave Hattiesburg, and to top it off rolling into Greenville at 2:30 this morning. Followed by class at 9:00, student teaching from 10-1, getting treatment after that was the first time I had a chance to breathe all day. But that was short lived… because the library awaited me. I had to finish… and by finish I really mean start… my unit plan on dance (a lovely fourteen step, 8 hours, totaling 50 pages of dance lessons and content). So it is now 10:00 and my day has come to an end. Tomorrow starts a brand new week of practice and getting back to work… we set our sights on heading to N.C. State Wednesday at 6pm.
No worries pirate fans we have not lost sight of any of our goals and we will keep working hard every day to continue getting where we want to be.
Ok it’s time to head home, recharge the batteries, and say goodnight
Until next time

Hey Guys!!
Even with spring break, I still some how lose track of the days! I have not even started on work yet and it is already about half way over.
WELL for all that were not there, we had a very good weekend, stuck to our plan, overall played very well, strung hits together and took the series from Houston!! We enjoyed our wins for a solid 24 hours and then yesterday got back to work for this upcoming week. This week has been beautiful and today is yet another beautiful day to play softball.
Today starts our Pirate Clash tournament between Toledo, Georgetown, and us. Both of these teams are not to be over looked and we will need to bring our A game. We face Georgetown at 2:00 and Toledo at 4:00. Please come out and show your support!
Ok off to treatment followed by a lovely lunch –picked by our sophomores- at tropical smoothie, and then off to the field for game time!

Hey bloggers!!
We are now on the bus back to
Greenville...10 hours :( BUT the good news is there is a great feel of
relief and excitement on the way back! We went 3-1 this weekend, with our
loss being 1-0 to Michigan, which was the #4 team in the nation. I also want
to commend our hitters this weekend! We CRUSHED today!! We made a bet with
coach Koz, if we get to .290, she has to dye her hair blonde!!
They are coming for you :)
Also, we have a new tribal
ritual where we are so called burning our bats and gloves before the game!!
Everyone is going to have to check it out next weekend . :)
I also want to thank Faiths mom
, miss Cheryl, for our goodie bags she made us!! They definitely came in
handy on the bus and the rice krispy treats were AMAZING!!!
Hope to see you all at the
games next weekend...so excited to see my family!!
Until next time pirate

Hey bloggers!!
Well, we didn't have the most
successful weekend, but it was a good opportunity for us. For those who
didn't know, we got to play the #1 team in the nation today, Alabama. We
didn't win, but we did go past 5 innings with them, something no other team
there did. We had to rush after the game because we were cutting it close to
catch our flight!! I know what its like to be stuck in an airport all night
:( us seniors had to go through that our freshman year!
After this weekend, we have
some things we need to work on and fix before we head down to Florida State
this coming weekend!!
Oh and Happy Birthday to Percy!!
(Even though its a day early)
Until next time pirate
fans....
Love,
Brooke

Hey hey,
I hope everyone had a great break and holiday season!!! I sure did, except for the fact that evidently Knoxville is the new Seattle….it rained literally the entire time I was home!! Other than that my break was wonderful and relaxing!! I got back to Greenville last night just in time to run our two mile fitness test, which is this afternoon....what a joy!!!!
Tomorrow we get back in to the swing of things with both school and practice starting. I am really excited about this season, and can’t wait to get started!!
Well, I am hope everyone had a safe break, but I better go drink some water and get my mind set for this two mile test!!
Talk to you soon,
Sarah
Hey hey,
Three exams down three to go!!! Surprisingly enough they are going better than expected!! I have gotten two of the hardest out of the way including physics, so I am ecstatic. The last three shouldn’t be too bad so I am not as stressed as I was last week and over the weekend.
Well, not only did I survive the first half of exams, but I made it through the 5k on Sunday too! Although I wasn’t feeling great, and the wind was ridiculous it still went pretty well. Everyone finished the race, and did a great job!!
After the race we had our team Christmas dinner, which was super fun and really really good!!! We exchanged gifts with our Secret Santa, which is always fun. Brooke drew my name and she made my dog, Moose, a jersey to wear to the games in the spring, and she gave me a gift certificate….awesome!!!
It is time for a nap so I have to say goodbye for now, but no worries I will blog again soon!
Talk to you all later,
Sarah B.
Hey,
Hope everyone had an outstanding Thanksgiving, I know I did!!! I am pretty sure I had a continuous meal for 3 days straight! I swear when I go home my mom strictly just shoves food in my face!! Haha not really, but she does a really good job of having all my favorites so I can’t resist! The trip home was long, but definitely worth it. I got to be with my entire family, and hang out with my two baby nieces! They are hysterical and so much fun to be around. There was only one bad thing about the break, and that was the ride back. It normally takes about 7 hours, but the traffic was so bad it definitely took 9!! Even with the long drive back I couldn’t have asked for a better break!
Now that we are back it is study, study, study!!! Exams start Friday, and of course I have two Friday!!! Exams last through the 12th of December, and then it is Christmas break!!! I can’t believe how fast this year is going; it is so crazy, and really sad!!! Well, wish me luck with my exams it is going to be a rough couple days!
Softball wise, we are on our own from now until we come back in January. For Coaches this is probably a really scary thought, but I have faith that we will all train appropriately and come back ready for the season! Like I told you last blog we were a part of a Thanksgiving canned food drive the week before the break. We did awesome bringing in over 900 cans!! Thanks to all who help contribute! This Sunday we are all participating in the Reindeer Dash for Cash 5k, which should be a lot of fun!! Other than that, we are just studying and training hard the remainder of the semester!
Well, it’s time for me to go. I will get back with you yall soon. In the meantime wish me luck with exams, and I hope everyone has a great week!!
Bye for now,
Sarah B.
Hello all,
It’s an exciting week to be on the softball team because it’s Pirate Clash time…GO SABERS!!! For those who don’t know, Pirate Clash is an annual battle between half the team designated as Skulls and the other half as Sabers. We compete against each other in various relay races, games, obstacle courses, etc. The team that scores the most points, wins the clash, and therefore gets all of the bragging rights!! Pirate Clash also signifies the end of our fall practice and conditioning.
Don’t forget that this week ECU Athletics is hosting a Thanksgiving can drive, and we are working hard to collect as many cans as possible with hopes of providing food to those in need. Be sure and check out your pantry and see if you have any cans to contribute. The cans may be dropped off in the softball office until November 21. Any and all of your help is appreciated!!
Well, it’s time for me to go to skills so I must let you all go, but I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!!!
GO SABERS!
Talk to you later,
Sarah
Hey everybody!
Sorry it has been a couple days, but how about the Pirates and another great overtime victory!!! Last week was a busy one, I had three test uggghh!!! Physics is killing me, and it doesn’t help that I am in there with Rina and Kaui who get 100s on EVERYTHING!!! Haha they will probably be really mad at me for that comment, oops!! Anyways, I would say that I am glad that last week and all of that studying is out of the way, but it never stops. This week I have to do an oral presentation, which is a terrible experience and extremely nerve racking!!!! Also, last week coaches were super nice (not that there not always super nice) and gave us three days off, which would have been really cool, but I spent all of the time I would have been playing studying, and I would much rather be playing!
This week we are back in to skills, workouts, and conditioning. Speaking of conditioning, man has that been hard! We have been doing the sprinting thing, and well I am more of a distance girl so it’s been pretty tough. Coach Koz does a really good job of making sure that it is something different each time, which is really good…hard, but good… because if we had to sprint poles every conditioning day I think I would die (Coach Koz, don’t get any ideas)!
Well, it’s time for me to go work on that presentation, but I hope everyone has a great rest of the week, and I’ll talk to you later!
Sarah B.
Hey there bloggers,
My name is Sarah Bibee and I am a senior from Knoxville, TN. Okay, so first off, I can’t believe I am a senior…soo weird. I can remember meeting JJ, V, Angel, and Brooke (the rest of the seniors) like it was yesterday, and now it is nearly half way through our senior year L. Time flies when you are playing softball!!!
We have been working hard this fall and our 45 days of practice came to a close yesterday as we finished our team marathon. Yes, I said marathon, ALL 26.2 miles! In order to earn our sweats we had to run this marathon in 3 hours and 30 min (8min pace). We did this by each running 1.5 miles, which combined to be 24 miles, and then ran the last 2.2 as a team. We each ran our 1.5 miles so fast that we had ample time to run the last 2.2, thank goodness!!! So, we earned our sweats, which we were pumped about because it is getting pretty cold outside!!!
Thus far this fall, we have done a lot of practicing, conditioning, and weight lifting in order to prepare for this upcoming season. The 2009 schedule is up, check it out!! On top of this we also played 8 games. We played double headers against Elon, UNCG, and Pitt C.C. We split against Elon and UNCG, and swept Pitt this past Saturday. We will now go back in to our skills workouts, which is where we practice in smaller groups rather than our entire team at once.
This year’s team is looking good, and our schedule for 2009 is both exciting and challenging!!! We will continue to work hard for the remainder of the fall in anticipation for the spring!! Thanks for all your support, and GO PIRATES!!!
Talk to you later, Sarah
